Teens plead guilty to killing
homeless man "for fun"

Four teenagers who fatally beat a homeless man for fun and then brought others to see the body pleaded guilty Thursday to murder and conspiracy.

Michael Roberts, 53, was kicked and crushed when the teenagers jumped on a log on his chest on May 25. Investigators said the attackers then brought friends and relatives to see what they had done. The body remained in the woods for three days until one boy’s mother called authorities when she overhead something about a beating.

Two of the boys told investigators they attacked the man "for fun" and
"to have something to do."

The four could get life sentences for the killing.
