As part of the deal, the developer will build a new sanctuary for the First Congregational Church of Christ, which was founded by abolitionists at the end of the Civil War. The church building is antiquated and inaccessible to the disabled.
One-bedroom apartments would sell for between $400,000 and $500,000, while two bedrooms with a den would go for about $1 million.
