Cops shot 47 times at homeless man with toy gun
It started with a report of a man with a gun.Eddie Felix Franco, carrying a toy gun in his waistband, allegedly refused to put his hands up, and officers fired beanbag rounds at him. Police said Franco then reached for his waistband and was shot dead.
Seven of the officers shot a combined 47 times -- also wounding a dog and grazing the head of a passing motorist, who needed stitches. The shooting occurred near a busy intersection, next to a restaurant filled with patrons.
