What's the real spirit of Thanksgiving?

While CNN was showing a brawl that broke out among shoppers at a Wal-Mart in Orlando, other folks in O-town got together to feed the hungry and homeless.

All day long, I saw TV news video of long lines of people seeking material possessions. I saw a woman jumping with joy over her purchases and another woman kissing the box that contained her new flat-screen TV.

Then I walked down to Lake Eola Park and watched the hungry and the people who want to feed them treated like they shouldn't be seen in public.

What's the real spirit of Thanksgiving?
