Panhandler wins $100,001 lawsuit

A panhandler hit the big payday when he sued New York City for false arrest and was awarded $100,001.

Eddie Wise was arrested 27 times for panhandling and decided to sue. The city admitted in court that it was using a panhandling law that was declared unconstitutional in 1992. A Daily News investigation found that 1,876 people were arrested on the charge from 1992 to 2004.

Wise says he plans to use the cash to move to Florida.

Great. Maybe he'll give me a look at his lawsuit. Good for him.
