Roll up your sleeves and help

Long-sleeve cotton shirts help farmworkers who are affected by the strong sun and harsh chemicals and occasionally sharp plants. Sunburn, pesticide residue and prickly stems all take their toll on farmworkers.

The Florida Catholic newspaper is holding its second annual Long Sleeve Relief Drive and asks you to roll up your sleeves and help those who bring food to our kitchens and restaurants.

Read more here and see the list of drop-off sites (all over Florida) here.

Thanks for covering this item! Pesticides are harmful and too often workers are not provided the proper training or safety materials to use them. --Is there an email address where I can send you background info on other worker related issues Jacqueline?? thanks
